Apple-3d-touch-scale

Yet another developer has tapped into Apple's new pressure sensitive 3D Touch display technology on the iPhone 6s and 6s Positive to create a real extremity scale app, but this time Apple has given word that it North Korean won't allow the apps along the App Store.

American Samoa demonstrated by other developer earlier this month, devs have realized that Apple's parvenu pressure oversensitive display tech can be used for more than merely the 3D Touch features it's allowing developers to integrate in their apps. In fact, IT makes developing a sincere digital scale app for the iPhone a realism. High yet, the digital scale apps happening the App Store have by and large been for novelty purposes and don't actually work as a functioning scale.

Ryan McLeod has developed a digital scale app using the iPhone 6s tech, but confirmed that Orchard apple tree isn't yet allowing the apps on the App Store. Hepenned a post about the app and how it works, and explained that Apple ultimately rejected the app even later appeals (via The Threshold).

To make a long taradiddle short the final solvent over the phone was that the concept of a scale app was not appropriate for the App Stack away… Perhaps it's because the concealment could perplex damaged if people time-tested dropping heavy weights on their phone..

McLeod gave a look back at how the app whole shebang in a show video submitted to Apple along with his app submission:

The developer speculates that Apple's rejection is likely referable potential damage of the gimmick when users consider objects on the display, or it could flow from to lancelike misuse of the API (somewhat of a grey area for apps in general). McLeod also notes that digital scales are also sometimes joint with do drugs consumption, just with an truth 'tween 1–3 grams that in all likelihood isn't a grounds for Apple to reject the app.

It's possible Apple could leave these apps on the App Fund in the future, but for now it appears it's non allowing apps that trespass of 3D Touch inaccurate of the authorized APIs.
